Manually Updating Software (EtherScope nXG, CyberScope, CyberScope Air, LinkRunner 10G/3000/4000)

If your unit is claimed to Link-Live, we highly recommend following the OTA (Over-the Air) Firmware Update procedure from the Link-Live App.nIf you do NOT want to use Link-Live, follow the manual update procedure below:

1.  Download the latest System software update (.zip) file, and copy it to a Micro SD card.

2.  Power off your test unit.

3.  Press and hold the volume up button and press the power button to start up the instrument in Recovery Mode. Continue holding down the volume up button until the Recovery screen appears.

4.  In Recovery Mode, use the volume buttons to highlight “apply update from SD card,” and use the power button to confirm the selection. 

5.  Use the volume buttons to highlight and the power button to confirm the correct update file on the Micro SD card.

 
The instrument will open the Updater, install the Android update, and then restart with the update installed.
