Battery Life in Storage

The duration a unit can remain charged while powered off varies depending on the model. The following information pertains to units that have been fully charged and properly shut down.

EtherScope nXG, LR10G, and CyberScope:

These units feature non-volatile RAM storage, which continues to draw power from the processor even when the unit is not in use. As a result, you can expect the battery to last approximately three months in storage with a full charge. However, once the unit is powered on, the power consumption increases. Even if the unit is shut down, the storage duration will be reduced until the unit is fully recharged.

  • For instance, a fully charged unit will lose about 10% of its charge in one week when powered off. However, if the unit is powered on, the discharge rate will increase.
  • To maintain optimal battery performance, we recommend charging the unit between uses or utilizing an optional Battery Pack.

AirCheck G3, LinkRunner AT 3000, LinkRunner AT 4000, and CyberScope Air:

These models draw significantly less power when powered off, allowing the battery to last much longer. With a full charge and in a powered-off state, these units can remain charged for up to six years or more.
