AM WiFi Analyzer: Updating OUI Vendor Names to Map Current AP Models
In MAC addresses, the OUI is combined with a 24-bit number (assigned by the assignee of the OUI) to form the address. The first three octets of the address are the OUI. The IEEE publishes a listing of OUIs mapped to vendor names. WiFi Analyzer ships with this file, oui.txt, but it must periodically be updated so that current AP models are discovered and named correctly.
To update the oui.txt, right-click this link, choose 'Save File As...' and save as a text file named oui.txt
http://standards-oui.ieee.org/oui.txt
If right-click > 'Save File As...' is not available, load the entire page (you may need to wait for it to fully load) and then save the entire page as a text file named oui.txt
Copy the saved file into this directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\AirMagnet Inc\AirMagnet Laptop\OUI
